founded in 1984 by Father John Armitage, is a professional child
care agency providing a social work service for children and families
in need throughout the Diocese. This service includes structured
and intensive counselling for families suffering from stress, poverty
and deprivation; teenagers with behavioural and emotional problems;
pregnant women considering abortion; women suffering from post-abortion
trauma. The primary aim and focus of the Society is to protect and
improve the quality of life of the hurt and needy child. It is motivated
by Christ's invitation: "Anyone who welcomes one of these little
children in my name, welcomes Me, and anyone who welcomes Me welcomes
not Me but the one who sent Me".
