Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are needed to help with maintaining the lawns around the Church, hall and presbytery. Equipment provided. Please contact Fr Bernard if you able to help.

Free English Lessons

for Polish and Other Nationalities at Our Lady of Fatima Hall, Back Room on Sundays 6 pm—7 pm. All welcome. Please telephone Austin 01279 411165 for details.

Date for Your Diary

On Sunday 14th September (Exaltation of the Cross) there will be a Children’s Mass at 11 o’clock (HX) follow by a Family Barbecue.

Baptism Talks

The next Baptism Talks will take place on 15th September starting at 8 pm, in Holy Cross Church. This is one off talk and is for parents who have already seen and made the necessary arrangements with Father Bernard. Those attending should contact Jim Wall in advance on 419920.

Youth Group

The Youth Group will recommence their meetings on Thursdays at 7.30 pm in the Parish Centre on 14th August.

Help 500 children have a holiday

Energetic and friendly helpers needed to help children on holiday at St John Bosco SVP Summer camp this year. The camp runs for four weeks: helpers are needed for a week from Saturday to Saturday and must be 16+. This Catholic project gives holidays to children who may not otherwise afford it, and is based around lots of sport including fishing and canoeing, football, basketball and more. Help also needed in the kitchens! Details on www.bcys.net/bosco. Helpers aged 18+ need a CRB check: the camp will arrange this.

Harlow Branch of The Council of Christians and Jews

Harlow Branch of the Council of Christians & Jews are having a Table Top Sale at Harlow Synagogue, Harberts Road, Harlow on Sunday 7th September from 2.30 to 4.30 pm. There will be receiving sessions of donations of good quality items (excluding clothing or electrical items) at the Synagogue on 31st August, 2nd and 4th September from 12 to 1 pm. Fatima Pilgrimage
